Events
The Annual Golf Scramble is held every August at Quail Trace Golf Club for the benefit of the Rotary Club of South Louisville/Okolona Scholarship fund. This event, which is now in its sixth year, has been instrumental in building the fund to more than $60,000.
The Thunder Over Louisville hotel raffle is for a room in the Jeffersonville Ramada, which overlooks the Ohio River for the Derby Festival event. The room provides exceptional views of the entertainment offered during Thunder, including the grand finale fireworks show. This event, which draws more than 500,000 people, annualy, is a strong attraction and the Rotary Club of South Louisville/Okolona hotel room makes it even better.
The Apple Sale at the Mid-America Trucking Show has been an event which has unified the entire membership for more than ten years. Attendees of the Ttrucking show come to the booth during late March to purchase apples and donate money to our children's charities and share in some fun times.
This Rotary Club is a participant in the Salvation Army Bell Ringing every December for the benefit of the Salvation Army and the many organizations it benefits.
